Tom launches our Christmas menus
Party organisers from Bridgwater looking for a venue for a works or office Christmas meal this year (2017) can now book up with us.
Tom our Head Chef has officially launched our festive party menu.
He explains: "We've focused on Westcountry-sourced ingredients wherever possible with our Christmas Party Menu this year and we make every dish on-site too, keeping our menus fresh and tasty.
"Starters include a Ham Hock and Apple Terrine with winter spiced apple chutney and crisp breads, or our very own Bower cream of vegetable soup with toasted ciabatta, there are three other options available as well and full details can be found here: www.thebowerinn.co.uk/eat/eat.html.
"Of course, we've got traditional free-range roast turkey on the mains menu, served with crispy roast potatoes, stuffing, seasonal vegetables, pigs in blankets and a rich gravy, as one of the mains on offer, but we also do a homemade nut roast with a veggie gravy, a beef roast or a pan-fried salmon fillet. There's a vegetarian risotto on the menu too.
"The puds on offer include a delicious Christmas pudding with brandy butter or custard, a chocolate brownie, a Baileys' creme brulee, a coconut panna cotta served with mango and Malibu compote, or a selection of ice creams or sorbets with my Christmas shortbread. So, there's lots to choose from.
"We try to plan a diverse and palate-pleasing menu each year featuring all the traditional favourites and other options too. We pride ourselves on the quality of the produce we use and a great deal comes from business nearby so we're giving Westcountry suppliers a well-deserved boost and by dining with us you will be too."
