Weddings At The Bower Inn

Charming, individual, relaxed. Not our words, but the words of our brides about us. We think that your wedding day is special and should be just the way that you want it. Here at The Bower Inn we provide just that whether it's a small lunch party or a full wedding breakfast and evening buffet.

The Bower Inn is a lovely romantic 18th century inn set in a pretty cottage garden with a huge weeping willow, sweet peas and roses.

A private marquee seats 78 people or 140 for a buffet within its own private walled garden. Upstairs we have 5 individual luxury bedrooms; one has its own huge French bath and art deco furniture, ideal for the bride and groom.

We create menus that let the quality of our local produce shine through, we only use free range meat...and our neighbours busy hens and our own bees work hard to make us eggs and honey.

You are special, so are we and you won't need to sell the family silver to pay for it. Come and meet us.

Testimonials

We visited this country pub for lunch and to catch up with a friend. Despite living within a few miles we had never visited the pub before and did so on a family recommendation. We were not disappointed. Whilst being down a country lane it is well signposted. It has quite an extensive menu with 'Specials' and provides service which is friendly to humans and dogs. Two of us opted for chilli which was one of the 'Specials' that day. It was nice to have 'proper' chunks of beef rather than the usual mince. It was beautifully presented with individual pots of nachos and a dip and a 'dome' of rice rather than the usual 'bed.' Our friend had 'traditional' fish and chips.' There was also plenty of pudding choice. My pannacotta was yummy. This was a mid week visit and the pub was fairly quiet. Service was leisurely which suited us as we were having a 'catch up' with a friend. Try it if you're happy to take your time to enjoy a good meal in the country.

We found this place on Trip advisor and decided to give it a go. We did have trouble finding it as the satnav took us into the middle of a nearby housing estate. However our perseverance was well rewarded. The staff were welcoming. The food was very good and nicely presented, The Goats Cheese starter was exceptional and the puddings a little mundane but overall the evening was very enjoyable. I will visit again when next in the area.
